The Bridge Between Community Centre has been built by Barry Uniting Church with funding from our parent churches (United Reformed Church  and Methodist), the Vale Council and the National Lottery amongst others.  We opened in July 2021.  The Centre  is for anyone from the Waterfront community (or Barry in general) to use.

The Uniting Church grew from the joining together in Barry of Porthkerry Road Methodist Church and Windsor Road United Reformed Church.  The community garden was begun on the north of the site in 2013 and a temporary building was added in 2014 after the sale of both “traditional” church buildings.  The lively congregation has been worshiping there until The Bridge Between Centre opened in 2021.

Building the Centre has been a vision for us as we seek to make real God’s love for all people.
